A Journey Through Our History

Founded in the heart of Trench Town, our Culture Yard has served as a cultural beacon, preserving reggae traditions and supporting community initiatives since its inception in the early 2000s.

Year 2003

In 2003, Trenchtown Culture Yard was established to celebrate and preserve the musical legacy of renowned reggae artists from Trench Town.

Year 2005

In 2005, the Yard hosted its first annual reggae festival, bringing local artists and visitors together to honor Trench Town’s musical history.

Year 2010

In 2010, the Culture Yard expanded its workshops, including drumming and guitar classes, enriching the community’s cultural offerings.

Year 2015

In 2015, Trenchtown Culture Yard successfully launched the Community Fund, reinvesting revenues into local youth development and neighborhood improvement programs.
